Ājjana was born from a life lived in motion.

By day, I work as an Events Manager, bringing people together through experiences, celebrations, and moments that leave a lasting impression. It’s a career I love, but one that is also fast-paced, high-pressure, and demanding. Outside of work, you’ll often find me discovering a new city, attending a concert, planning a girls’ trip, getting lost in a good book, or finding balance through movement and wellness

Jewellery-making began as something deeply personal. Amid the deadlines, long hours, and constant momentum of event management, it became a creative outlet and a way to release pressure. Sitting down to create with my hands offered a rare moment of calm, allowing me to slow down, focus on the details, and reconnect with myself. What started as a personal ritual soon grew into something I wanted to share with others.

I’ve always been drawn to the idea that the most meaningful things in life are not possessions, but the memories we attach to them. A necklace worn on a special trip. A bracelet gifted during a milestone season. A piece that quietly accompanies us through different chapters of our lives.

My Senegalese and Guinea-Bissau heritage has deeply influenced the way I see beauty, culture, and craftsmanship. Growing up connected to rich traditions, vibrant storytelling, and a strong sense of community taught me that objects can carry meaning far beyond their physical form. They become symbols of identity, connection, and memory.

The name Ājjana means paradise or heaven in Wolof, a language spoken in Senegal. To me, it represents more than a destination: it represents a feeling. Those moments of joy, connection, beauty, and belonging that we carry with us throughout our lives.

Ājjana brings these influences together: a love of craftsmanship, a passion for experiences, and a belief that jewellery should be more than something we wear. Every piece is thoughtfully handmade to accompany a life well lived: from ambitious mornings and everyday rituals to unforgettable journeys and celebrations

Ājjana is for women in motion.

For the nights out.

For the girls’ trips.

For the career milestones.

For the slow Sundays.

For every chapter worth remembering.
